About us
Our goal is to be by your side through all of life’s twists and turns, so it’s important that you get to know us. Learn a little more about our business and our approach here.
Putting you first
Over the years, hundreds of happy clients have built a lasting connection with us, and we like to think that’s because of our down-to-earth approach.
Cheltenham IFA feels like a family business, and not just because several of our team members are related. Ours is a local business with a national reach, and we’re deeply proud of the fact that every member of staff is from the Gloucestershire region.
As our ambitions grow, we’ll ensure we don’t lose sight of our main aim: improving the service you get from us. It’s all part of our commitment to keeping your needs at the forefront of everything we do.
Our history
Our directors, Mark Stanley and Christian Heeley, make their first plans for an independent financial advice firm with a difference in Cheltenham.
In February, Cheltenham IFA is born with Mark at the helm. Christian comes onboard in June, marking an exciting beginning for our firm.
Rachel Heeley becomes part of the team. As our client services and compliance co-ordinator, today Rachel helps to keep our valued clients happy, and makes sure our advisers give the best, most appropriate advice.
Later in the year, Dan Dimond joins as client relationship manager, in charge of creating lasting, valuable partnerships with our customers.
The team gets a very welcome boost in the form of Tara Wood, who joins as an independent financial adviser. Tara delivers the same exceptional service and advice clients have come to expect from us.
It’s time for new surroundings as we move to our current home on Cheltenham’s magnificent Royal Crescent.
With the addition of Andy Mansion to the team, we’re able to provide outstanding support to a greater number of clients than ever before. Andy is an experienced independent financial adviser, specialising in helping clients achieve their personal and financial goals.
As our client base continues to grow, we appoint Ed Cook as an additional client relationship manager. Ed works alongside Dan to ensure we deliver excellence to all our clients at every stage of the process.
Ben Burgess becomes part of the Cheltenham IFA family as our fifth independent financial adviser.
Also this year, Cath Church joins the team as client services assistant to provide much-needed support to our growing business.
Lindsay Wallace joins our technical team, providing us with invaluable expertise on the finer points that make all the difference to our clients.
Coronavirus means we, like the rest of the country, must adapt to working from home, while continuing to provide our clients with the very best financial advice.
Our client services team explodes in growth with the additions of Paige Woodfine-Brookes and Izzy Vidler this year. Both are client services assistants, tasked with ensuring things run smoothly for all our customers.
Lindsay Wallace is promoted to operations manager, a new role created especially to enable Lindsay to drive the business forwards with improved service and operational efficiencies.
Over the summer, Madeleine Hollands (or Maddi, as we all know her) joins the team as our sixth adviser, bringing a wealth of skill and experience with her.
Paige and Izzy both achieve their Diploma in Financial Planning qualification, and move on to more technical roles in the business as a result. Their previous roles are filled by new recruits Gergana Berova and Oli Osborne.
With a new website in place and plans to offer an even stronger service to our treasured clients, the future looks bright for Cheltenham IFA.
FAQs
Whether you’ve taken financial advice before or are considering it for the first time, you’re bound to have some questions about how everything works. Find answers to all our most common queries here.
Where are meetings held and can we meet remotely?
For us, financial advice is all about the personal touch, so we’d love to see you face to face in the Cheltenham IFA offices or at your home for our first meeting together. Follow-up meetings can be held via Zoom or Teams if you prefer. Your relationship with us will hopefully be a long and fruitful one, though, so we’d love to invite you to visit us at least every other year if it’s convenient.
Do you have parking?
Yes, our offices have free parking. Let us know in advance if you need specific arrangements or have any accessibility concerns.
Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?
No, your first appointment is always at our expense. It’s an opportunity for you to get to know us better, and for us to understand your needs, explain our services, and determine how we can help you. We will only ever agree to work with you if we feel that we will add value. If we can't, we'll tell you straight away.
