Staff spotlight: Meet Paige Woodfine-Brookes, our client relationship manager
In last month’s staff spotlight feature, we spoke to Lindsay Merry as she explained the ins and outs of her role as the firm’s operations manager. This month, we’d like to introduce you to another one of our brilliant client relationship managers: Paige Woodfine-Brookes.
Read on to learn more about what Paige does on a day-to-day basis at Cheltenham IFA, how she builds trust with clients, and what she’d say to someone who’s considering visiting a financial planner for the first time.
Hi Paige, tell us what your role is at Cheltenham IFA, how long you’ve been here, and what you do day to day.
Hello, my name is Paige Woodfine-Brookes, and I’ve been with the firm for five years. As a client relationship manager, I work closely with our advisers, paraplanners, and the administration team to ensure our clients receive a smooth and professional experience throughout their financial planning journey.
My role includes supporting clients with ongoing services, overseeing business processes, reviewing suitability reports and documentation, managing workflows, and helping to ensure we deliver high-quality, compliant financial planning solutions.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy improving processes and finding ways to make our service more efficient and effective. This, in turn, helps us build strong relationships with our clients, enabling them to achieve their financial goals. Every client is different, and it’s rewarding to play a part in giving people confidence and peace of mind regarding their future.
What is a memorable experience or achievement in your career?
One of my most rewarding achievements has been leading and supporting process improvements within the business, helping to enhance client journeys, improve internal efficiencies, and strengthen the consistency of the advice process. Seeing positive changes adopted across the team and knowing they improve outcomes for both colleagues and clients has been particularly fulfilling.
How do you build relationships and trust with clients and understand their needs?
I believe trust comes from being approachable, reliable, and genuinely listening to clients. I make sure that clients feel heard, keep them informed throughout the process, and always aim to provide clear and honest communication. When it comes to understanding clients’ needs, I focus on taking the time to understand each client’s circumstances, objectives, and priorities. By asking the right questions and listening carefully, I can help ensure that the advice and support provided is tailored to their unique situation.
What do you think sets our firm apart in the sector?
Our focus on genuinely personalised advice and long-term relationships sets us apart. We take the time to understand each client’s individual circumstances, goals, and concerns, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our clients benefit from a collaborative team that is committed to delivering advice with care, professionalism, and integrity.
What are your hopes for the future of our firm and the clients we serve?
I hope we continue to grow while maintaining the personal service and trusted relationships that are at the heart of what we do. I also hope we continue to help our clients feel confident, informed, and secure in achieving their financial goals.
What would you tell someone who has never taken advice and is considering it?
Start the conversation sooner than you think you need to. Financial planning isn’t just about investments – it’s about understanding where you are today, where you want to be in the future, and creating a clear plan to help you get there. Even small steps now can make a significant difference over time.
Some quick-fire questions about you…
- What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, keeping active, and exploring new places.
- What is your favourite book or movie and why? My favourite book is Atomic Habits by James Clear. I enjoy it because it highlights how small, consistent actions can lead to significant improvements over time, something that applies equally to personal development and financial planning.
- What is the most interesting place you’ve visited? Tenerife, because I was able to go on a boat ride and see dolphins!
- Can you share an inspiring quote that resonates with you? “Those who are brave are free.”
- How do you stay motivated and productive? I stay motivated by setting clear goals, staying organised, and focusing on continuous improvement. I enjoy finding better ways of working and take satisfaction from helping both clients and colleagues achieve positive outcomes.
- What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know? I completed a skydive for Cheltenham & Gloucester Hospitals Charity last year.
Thanks, Paige!
